To keep a track of the number of visitors entering Mussoorie, the Uttarakhand Government has created an online registration process with effect from August 1, 2025. Tourists planning to visit Mussoorie are advised to register online at https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/touristregistrationmussoorie/. If you arrive without registering online, you can still register with the help of your accommodation provider.
The state of Uttarakhand comprises of 13 districts. Each district has an administrative centre. Dehradun is the capital of the state but is also the administrative centre of Dehradun District which also includes Mussoorie.
